I'm a recent MA graduate and looking for adjunct work.  I am going to ask a few people for reference letters, but wonder if it is inappropriate to ask during the summer.  School has been out for two months, and fall semester doesn't start for a month.  Is this inconsiderate to ask while they are on break?  I wanted to start this search before fall if possible.

Feedback is wonderful; thanks!

I don't see any harm in asking.

Be aware that some faculty may be difficult to reach during the summer.
