Irving Stone's "Lust for Life"

I finished this recently. I found it both moving and a bit disturbing (which is inevitable when reading about Van Gogh, probably).
I read this immediately after finishing Stone's "The Agony and the Ecstasy" which is about Michelangelo. I preferred the latter, but perhaps that is because I understand Michelangelo better than Van Gogh.
Stone's abilities to both describe the visual setting and to also describe the mental and emotional state of the protagonist are impressive.
I will likely read something else by Stone before the summer is out.

A bit off topic, but, what the hell.
How about
The Stones of Summer
, by Dow Mossman? I must admit I ahven't read it yet, but I did see the coolest documentary about it:

Your professors were probably afraid of your galactic genius and did everything they could (behind the scenes) to thwart your hedginess.
Hedgie loves to read.

I'm sorry, I though "Lust for Life" was by Iggy Pop.
