Well, the moral is clear. Do your own searches and do not rely on headhunters to vet your candidates.

OP: Are you referring to John Keating's resignation as Chancellor? It seems that the choice of Keating wasn't too bad; he stayed on for 10 years, and during that time the school was designated an "engaged campus" by the Carnegie foundation. Or are you talking about some more recent occurrence? Maybe a proposed replacement for Keating? Do tell.
