That scholarly controversy from the 70s and 80s that you love to roll out in front of each class you teach was actually pretty much over by the end of the 80s.    You're like that Japanese soldier who hid out for years after the second world war was over.

There's nothing unprofessional about using the same locker room as the students, but I hear you spend waaaaaaaay too much time in the communal shower.

I really really want to make out with you, French kissing in some dark corner, junior high style.  Just, you know, for fun.

3. (unrelated to the first two) You're making $65K?  YOU are making 65 THOUSAND dollars a year?  What, exactly, do you do?  Because I only see you in the break room making coffee, in the hallway drinking coffee, or standing in a colleague's doorway talking to him/her.  Seriously.  I have never seen you at a computer keyboard or even holding a (work) telephone to your ear.  Seriously.

That is the average starting salary for an assistant prof in my field. If it is, sounds like someone won't be around to make tenure.

It's an administrator who's supposed to be an IT support person for the area (and an IT strategic planning person as well).  Isn't that a laugh?

And he's been here for four years.

And he doesn't know how to re-enable my computer to print to the low-cost, black-and-white laser printer in the division.  I've waited for him to help me for 14 days.  Tomorrow, which will be day 15, I'm calling the main IT help number, damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

You are so passive-aggressive. You like the sound of your own voice more than anything else. You have alienated 75% of our staff, and you're working on the other 25%. Good luck with that.

Keep on talkin' about your Ivy-League B.A. We all know that your master's was from Mail Order U.

dear Grad Student,
This is a small class.  We're all sitting around one table.  Please don't pick your nose.

Everyone on campus knows about your superiority zingers.  By the way, you're a mysoginist, in spite of your vaunted non-sexist stances.  You zing women more often than men.  Your attempts to "mentor" women are transparent, too.

You know who you are, and you have no idea what I could do with you in bed.  Maybe shouldn't happen, though.  California's too seismic already.

I bet you do have an idea.

You're hotter than hot.  Even though you and I both are off-limits, including to each other.

More than a little.  Very creepy, and a bit scuzzy as well.

No, I don't have an overactive bladder.  I go to the restroom everytime I see you because I can't stand to listen to you drone on and on about how wonderful your pedagogical approaches are.  Nor can I stand to hear you ramble on about the lastest book you read about teaching theory.  I am thankful you are male and can't follow me into the women's restroom.
