Cafes serve things other than coffee.

IMO, it's hard to beat a nice glass of white wine at a sunny outdoor cafe in an interesting city.

Yes, and there's a HUGE difference in a cafe and a coffee house. You certainly don't get a nice glass of wine at a Starbucks.

I prefer red over white. Had an interesting Hungarian wine last night at dinner.

But starbucks isn't really even a coffeehouse.  It's a franchised branded money-making enterprise, which just happens to serve coffee.  A proper coffeehouse is something like the Main Point in Bryn Mawr or Steep 'n' Brew in Madison.

Which is just another reason why I don't like coffee houses....

Tell you what.... you live your life swilling coffee and let me live mine avoiding it. I don't like coffee... I don't like coffee bars. Why can't you get that into your head?

Ok people, lay off the coffee talk.

Don't panic.  I took a group of students abroad last year and the entire time the first name of one of my students appeared as her last and vice versa.  Both in the US and abroad, the reservation for every single airline, train, hotel, bus, museum, etc. inverted her name in this way.  It wasn't a problem.
