Your College's Good Name

You know, it hurts to watch a video when an employee of the Chronicle of Higher Education cannot even pronounce the names of the universities he's discussing (especially when Dictionary.com, among other places, provides helpful audio and visual guides to pronunciation).

Our residency village has an SL version! This was the first hit I came up with. Can people move into it? Can you get an SL diploma? Can I teach an SL class?

1) Yep, for the proper price.
2) Not yet, but soon.
3) Sure, why not?

If you haven't got either the anatomical or metaphorical balls to post your own question
on a pseudonymous internet forum
, then academia is the wrong job for you.

I joined SL to check it out. I can see where it could become addictive, but not really my thing. Anyway, it turns out that there is indeed a class on our virtual campus (they just gave it the same name as the residential campus, it even has a library). A graduate level (by the number) reading class. With a kindergarten level text on the board.
