TNG was overrated. Star Trek: Voyager made the franchise interesting again.
I'll call your Claudia Black and raise you Jeri Ryan.
I cannot speak to subsequent Star Trek series. I am watching them all in order, and I'm still on season 3 of The Next Generation. I didn't see any Star Trek growing up. (Ryan does look promising from wikipedia, however.) Right, and you're still wrong. Troi is smokin,' and Crusher is also beautiful. And what about Tasha Yar? I'm inclined to forgive you, however, because you said this: This is interesting precisely because pretty much all the men are super-hot (and I say this as a straight male):
Frakes (Commander Riker - yeow!)
And then some. We must agree to disagree about Yar, Troi, and Crusher. However, I will accept your forgiveness. It's hot that Yar and Data got it on early in the series, but strictly because of the novelty of human-machine intercourse. Okay, apparently you are living in my household and I just haven't noticed you yet--or perhaps you're really MrP and have decided to do a diss and go on the market without mentioning it to me? We just watched "Enemy" tonight--which one are you on?

K'Ehleyr and Ro Laren. And Keiko O'Brien. TNG FTW.

Hah! I'm winning. I'm a few episodes ahead of you, on "The Defector". K'Ehleyr and Ro Laren. And Keiko O'Brien.
TNG FTW.
Ok, I concede K'Ehleyr (maybe I'm only attracted to female Klingons, or half Klingons?). I haven't reached the point in the series where Laren or Keiko appear yet. Basically the moral of the story is that bcohlan1 is talking out of his ass again.

I will say that, while I am happily married to MrP, I can also most definitely appreciate the hotness of Troi, and I have always had a little thing for Ro Laren.

K'Ehleyr and Ro Laren. And Keiko O'Brien. TNG FTW. I forgot about Ro and Keiko. Both are beautiful. And yeah, I loved Crusher, mainly for her calm and sultry way of announcing imminent death and/or organ-failure. Did anyone see (and enjoy thoroughly) Michelle Forbes (aka Ro Laren) on True Blood? Damn but she was hot. Basically the moral of the story is that bcohlan1 is talking out of his ass again.
Yes. But we forgive you.

My psychic told me you would say that! I'm worried about its chosen career (and relieved that it hasn't ended up choosing academia).

Interpol? Right. I'm pretty sure they would smell the crazy on you long before offering you a job.

I think somebody needs to decide whether they want to change the world with their honorable nonconformity or whether they want an academic job.
You can't have both at once. Just ask farm_boy.
