I'm not questioning your poetry.  It's the lack of the poetry class that indicates you haven't been properly trained as an engineer.

Hence the offer to build bridges for the trolls who have stopped amusing us.  If I do it out of nice heavy stone, then the resulting collapse would squish the trolls and save us some headaches later.

Ah, the trolls live under the bridges, but there is colateral damage when the regular people are the ones driving across.  If you did that, they would take away your iron ring.

Not all bridges have vehicle traffic and think of the extra people employed to undam the river after every fall of the scenic footbridge. 

What?  You thought I would build multiple bridges instead of hosing off the stones and reassembling them for the next occupant?
