Yes, we're on GCF part II. It's awfully early on a Sunday morning for such drama.

But it's nearly 11 here on the East Coast; it's not too early at all.

The hell of it is--as I just posted over there--I probably would be able to figure out who she is, just by looking at applications I'm receiving. And I'll probably do that...well, heck, you gotta have a way to thin the pile, right?
I promise I won't up my posty posty by going back to that particular thread. It's raising my blood pressure.

And I wasn't even posting on that thread!
I might start, though.

OK, having seen the two most recent posts by the OP in that thread, I'm now leaning toward mentally ill. You don't tell us all to to go to hell in one post and thank us profusely for our advice in the next.

You folks are really wonderful. Thanks for the support--really! It means so much.
Now: back to thinking about the holidays and dogs, not necessarily in that order.

I had such a good reply to post to that thread, but by the time I was done composing it, nine more excellent replies came in, so I held back. Snowflakes will only hear what they want to hear anyway. Nevertheless, good for you, Anthroid, on calling the OP out on the lack of anonymity on the fora!

Wait, we're not anonymous here? <hands on hips> All right, which of you twenty people who know my legal name told? Fess up. Fess up. Oh, and remember this year the APS March Meeting is in Portland OR and we have to meet before Friday because I fly out Thursday night. We should meet for the AAPT Washington DC meeting on Saturday night because that's the night I have free. But we're all anonymous here so be sure to wear your trenchcoat and Groucho glasses; otherwise we might be outed.

There's still a chance, Alan! There's a new thread emerging that has an air of snowflakiness about it already--seek it out and be as sordid as you possibly can. I've got your back! (and probably noof does, too)

Umm, HELLO?! I told you like five times that my texting is an integral part of my life, so it's, like, TOTALLY UNREASONABLE for you to expect me to change my habits just because I'm, like, in a classroom. You had just better find a way to adapt to my needs. And, uh, you can't expect me to focus or pay attention for longer than two minutes, because that's just how my generation is, and you'd better figure out how you're going to adapt to being impacted by that. That goes for you too, future employer-like people. Let me make it clear that I, the future employee, am the customer, and I am not working on projects that I can't do via email or phone, LOL! If you want me to, like, "work" for you, then you are going to have to adapt to my way of life.
What's that? What do you mean, you don't want me to work for you? Like, OMG!
