I have an interview for an adjunct faculty member next week and would like to know what are the things I am suppose to be worried about and things that I am suppose to focus on. Any advices? Suggestions. This is for a math position. I went through the full time interviews but never went through the part time ones. Are they different? Thanks

If they haven't already answered these, ask about possibilities for future employment, the possibility of eventually finding a tenure-track position there, and what if any health care options are available and such.  I'm pretty sure they won't kick in anything towards your retirement, since it's an adjunct position.  They probably have talked to you about these, though.

Unfortunately, I think conjugate gives good advice.

The OP I presume is interviewing for an adjunct position, right? The original posting is not clear.

I am also not sure what the poll is for, "def" "kif"

I misunderstood the OP.  I thought the question was about interviewing and hiring an adjunct.  And so my quick response to check for a pulse.

Now that I realize that the question was about applying for an adjunct position let me amend my response to:  "Bring a pulse."

My apologies for the confusion.

Something weird is going here. Another of OP's recent posts:

I repeat. The answer is 42.

'Ki' is the obvious choice here, and the votes so far reflect that.

KI, ditto.  Those pills they give you when you live near a nuke, right?

I was the first to vote "ki."  You all plagiarized.  I'm reporting it!

I voted both options, since that was an option.

I hate voting on options I don't understand.  Especially when the OP makes no reference to them.

I voted both options, since that was an option.

Even though it wasn't an option, I wanted to vote 'def' on his other poll.

It just sounds urban (diverse).

I know I shouldn't be seeking logic, but shouldn't the choices in the poll be defined?  I think I need more caffeine...or alcohol.  Yeah, that might help.

Look at the OP's other thread.   This is obviously warts.

I think my screen is broken. It says that I "may only select up to two options." *counts on paws* There are only two options. Why can I select only up to two? Is this a test? Is this a trick? Or ...

Who took the other options?
