Oh, now Pandora misses Ming, too! And she never knew him to begin with. I think we need more forumites who refer to themselves in the third person.

We can hope that having to go to work didn't bring on early labor for Polly. Those idjits in HR!
I'm here! I'm here! And still waiting for the baby to be born. I miss Dr_Stones and count me as another vote for missing Ming.

I've been missing case_insensitive as well. Had been missing rowan, but she bobbed to the surface a couple of days ago.
Of course, I'm probably just hanging around [on] the wrong threads :)

Psst, Llanfair. The poster formerly known as case_insensitive is still here and posts frequently. Under the new moniker she acquired this winter when she married, she has more posts than I do.

Wow....I just figured it out. I'd completely missed that transition. I had been missing case_insensitive. Also Dr. Stones, Nardo, Crazybatlady, Thundering_Marshmallow, and Picky Eater.

Dr_Stones and Nardo are the same person.
Hasn't Picky Eater been gone for a very, very long time?

Oh, I know. But I particularly enjoyed Nardo. Hasn't Picky Eater been gone for a very, very long time? But never let us know what s/he had to eat. I still feel unfulfilled.

I miss Dr Stones too. I think I will go post on the Terms & Definitions thread as a tribute to keep his .
I never knew Ming but everyone always talks about him with such fondness that I am sad that I missed him but given the title of this thread, I guess it is legit for me to list him as well.
Llanfair, if you haven't figured out who case_insensitive is now, she didn't want her wonderful husband to have to be known as Mr Insensitive, thus the name change. She has lots of arms and lots of wheels.
On review, you figured it out but in case others are not as sensitive to clues...

Hasn't Picky Eater been gone for a very, very long time?
But never let us know what s/he had to eat. I still feel unfulfilled. This was it. (Someone mentioned it elsewhere recently.) So, the food was Chinese. I was slow to say what it was as so many people I know like it. I believe I mentioned before that I didn't get to order for myself. The food was preordered. Anyway, the item that about sent me over the edge was some kind of soup. A bowl of it was sat right in front of me. It had green things hanging out over the edge of the bowl that looked like seaweed. Then, there were big chunks of something white in it with a bunch of little white chunks floating on top (that looked like cottage cheese gone bad). The smell alone was bad enough, but I thought I would be a trouper and try to taste it. That was when I nearly spewed it across the table. I pretended to eat it after that. I would take some on my spoon. Hold my breath, and then put it near my mouth. However, during this whole time, the other people at the table were just slurping it right on down. That was just making it worse!!! I can still taste it a week+ later.

Huh, somehow I missed the follow-up and then the revitalized thread. I'm still amused, but then, while I was not Picky Eater, I am a picky eater.

Of course we have to mention Newdochere, who (as far as I remember) posted only on one thread, about how his gorgeous looks caused chest massages in secretaries.
And there was also Schnoink (sp?) whose posting caused the wild thread about stapling vs. paper clipping.
I think both of them are probably still among us under other names, though, and maybe Picky Eater is too.
Thundering seems to be truly gone, though, and I also long for Ming the Merciless and Crazybatlady.

Georgia_Guy and Yellow_Tractor have dramatically cut down on the time they spend here and I can't remember the last time I saw them.
