Has anyone ever interacted with anyone from here?  I'm not at all interested in joining them (it seems a wee bit cultish to me), just curious about people's experiences.  Here's the url:  http://www.widu.us

I don't know, you gotta be impressed with anyone with these sorts of credentials:

"Abdullaev Dzhura Abdullaevich   , the Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Republic Uzbekistan, Dr. Sci. Tech., Grand PhD, the professor, the honored worker of a science of Uzbekistan, the Minister of the Higher and average special Education of  Republic Uzbekistan (1992-94), the president of the Academy of Sciences of Republic Uzbekistan (1994-1995), the author of 9 monographs and manuals and more than 250 scientific articles has been appointed as a Director of Global Education System in the Republic Uzbekistan "

I'm particularly impressed with the manuals he has written.  And of course his work in "average special Education."

LOL  Maybe it meant to read "Higher than average special education".

I think the concept is honorable - connecting scholars from East and West - but the whole Grand Phd thing...

However, WIDU does have royal recognition from the King of Belgium.  For whatever that's worth.

The president, winner of the Lenin prize 1957, could probably use some marketing help.

Like setting up a football team. Let's see, how would a good cheerleading chant begin? The ending we already have: We Do! We Do! WiDu!

Looks like we'd (not WIDU) better look out:

"Many countries give extensive notice for a four-level educational system. In Russia for example it is available for more than 40,000 Doctors NAUK (corresponds to level Grand Ph. D), and more than 3,000 Scientific Counsels prepare 600-800 Doctors NAUK annually.

Unfortunately there appears to be no University in the USA engaged in the preparation of Grand Doctor of Philosophy (Grand Ph. D) and this can lead to the losing of the position of the USA being the first economic and military power of the world (See BBC, the USA)."

BTW, if I spend the next 20 years getting my Grand Ph.D., do you think I'll be able to find a job then?

I was particularly impressed by the guy who received letters of thanks for his work from the royal family of san marino. Quite an achievement given that san marino has always been a republic.

Should we introduce them to the Oxford round table organisers?

Perhaps it was from the exiled royal family??  ;)

Yes, I think WIDU and ORT should join to become a massive self-promoting endeavor.
