I am a regular, but I needed to post this anonymously.  I started a part-time job recently, within my university department, as a graduate research assistant.  I'm using hu to refer to the prinicpal investigator.

i.  I'm not sure that hu has had a research assistant before.  They are used to working with collaborators, but I'm not psychic and collaboration is a whole different ball game.

ii.  A full-timer got kicked out of a shared first floor office to make room for me (hu is an important person, and diversity).  Unsurprisingly, this has upset the group dynamic.

iii.  I am struggling to find everything (relates back to my own diversity issues) - ADA doesn't apply as I'm not in the US.

Other than telling myself tomorrow is another day, does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm guessing OP's disability/diversity issue caused the office displacement ?

OP, I suggest a re-write for clarity.
