A Cal State Humanities job was just offered to a candidate after a 6 week delay (post-campus visit)  because of funding.  But the job went through.

Has anyone heard specifics lately about the budget situation at the various UC's?

The only thing I've heard is that UC Davis is supposed to be pushing ahead with all searches currently underway but freezing all other planned searches.

I just got a letter from Cal State Fullerton saying that there have been "several dozen searches" cancelled at their campus due to the budget crunch, including the job that I applied for.
