My favorite deadly sin from that list was: "Men's capris"
Seriously though, I think they meant genetic alteration more in the realm of "allowing genetic manipulations which alter DNA or compromise embryos." Or at least that's what the bishop in charge is quoted as meaning. I had to look it up when I fiest saw the story this morning, because it is such an obvious, "Duh, and centuries of artificial selection and animal breeding has done what?"
And I think the wealth part has more to do with some people being obscenely wealthy while others are extremely poor. Not much different than the whole shoving a camel through the eye of a needle being easier than a rich man entering heaven.
