I have had two successful job searches. Once I had the offer four days after the visit, in the other case 3 weeks. In both cases I was the last campus interview, so that skews the results considerably.

I was the last candidate in on a campus interview, and got the job offer the following day.

I was the last candidate and the dean called when I was in their airport. The letter was waiting in my email box when I got back.

I was delirious.
