I was there several years ago, and the CNN tour was interesting. We were on a glass-enclosed walkway looking down at the newsroom/studio. I don't know if they still have these tours. The funniest part was the Ted Turner "shrine" we had to pass through at the start of the tour. I doubt that is still there.

The world flavored pops in the coca cola museum. My favorite is the watermelon flavored soda from Korea.

Thanks for all the advice. I've been to Atlanta before (including visiting the Buckhead Diner) but didn't really know where to go and ended up with the limited options downtown. Your responses have given me lots of options. Muchas gracias!

I have to disagree ... Surin is the best Thai food in town.

And just up the road ... Fontaine's for a bit of Louisiana in Atlanta (the Lobster Bisque will make you slap your momma, shoot your daddy, and result in your big toe jumping up in your boot!).

If you are around beginning the 18th of March, there is a photo exhibit at Kennesaw University featuring the work of Jan Yoors on the gypsies. He lived among them between the wars. Live gypsy music for the opening on the 18th. http://www.kennesaw.edu/paralleljourneys/calendar.shtml
