Do those statcounters tell you what search terms were used in a google search?
I think it'd be fun to know how people were searching me out.
super+brilliant+grass+hopper
would be nice.
stupid+idiot+hopper
... not as much.

Yes they do--and some of the word combinations are odd and disquieting.

At one point, as a blogger, I mentioned childhood education in one post and nude art images in an entirely different post. You can guess how about 5% of people found the page for awhile. It was pretty upsetting.

I am putting together a post on Meriwether Lewis' conflicted sexual identity. It should boost my hits substantially.

Changing topics slightly, what does everyone include on their web pages?

Mine is actually pretty sparse. It has my contact info, a good picture, a brief description of research activities and a link to my actual CV. I do have a page for personal stuff. Though I can't think of much to put there. It says where I'm from and mentions one of my favorite hobbies.

My professional web page is just a Blogger page with my vita. I really should do more.

I put up my CV, my production history & images, information that my students need, links that students might use, syllabi, course assignments, etc.
