wow, newyorker, that is great.
How do you know that you already have two on-campus?
Did they tell you during the conference? That's a pretty quick turn-around time.

I know, I feel the same way. . .it was a b*tch to put together, but the end result (networking, interviews, collegial intellectualism) made it worth the harangue prior to the event.

The two on-campus interviews are from phone interviews prior to CAA. And thanks. I have to say I have been really panicked about the possibility of not having an income next year. But it ain't in the bag yet.

Hey newyorker, congrats.  A favor, though?  Could you add your interview results to the wiki at some point?  It would be really helpful to those of us agonizing over the results of phone/CAA interviews to know that some schools are (almost certainly) out of the running.  And again - good luck with your campus interviews - super-rad for you!

Ah, thank you - you must be in a different field (we've been lamenting the lack of campus visits posted on the studio arts wiki).

yes, art history..but speaking of art and art history and CAA...
I got a spam today in my personal email selling the new Moo Eraser. The ad stated they the company got my email address from the list of attendees at the Dallas CAA. errrggghh. Is is standard practice for CAA to sell our info? That is just bullsh*t.

Oh, seriously bullsh*t.  They don't get enough money from membership dues?  From forcing people to register just to use job postings?  From exorbitant conference registration fees?

That makes me irate.  I wonder if there's anything to be done.
