One great writer  of last century described these academics who rushed from this conference to another around the world international call girls.  They pretend to go for serious discussion but real fact they want to enjoy themselves, free perk, stay in luxurious hotel, sightseeing. Their discussion  are so shallow,useless they know this but to enjoy themselves,they rush to their destination, they are really international call girls.     

Well, if they are call girls, who are they doing?

Don't you know that the really high priced call girls merely provide the pleasure of their company and don't do anyone?

The other possibility is that they are doing each other and the rest of us just get to watch.

I read Arthur Koestler's "The Call Girls" this summer! 

Well, I like academic travel. It rejuvenates me and gets me more excited about my work. If that makes me a call girl, then so be it...

Are you saying that Mr. Mer is spending his allowance in a manner that I should not approve?

And he definitely better not be involved in anything that could be construed as essen tail with those girls.
