grrr, editing again
«

Just finished a book review that I like a lot. The problem is, I got carried away because the book is both interesting and provocative and wrote 3x as much as I was allowed. Now I have to go back and cut out all the interesting pieces where I extended the implications. I pleaded for mercy and got none.
I will never again agree to do a book review of under 1000 words. By the time you've done a minimal summary, you're done, and if I'd wanted to write Cliff Notes, I'd have gotten a job doing that.
I want to cry.

Oh, TF, that's never any fun--especially for a book you enjoyed! How frustrating.
I always get in trouble with book reviews, and I agree about the 1000-word minimum.
Good luck!

I've posted this here before, but word for word, I think book reviews may be the hardest type of writing I've ever done.

In the midst of doing another one now. Word limit? 800.

Wait... book reviews are just for getting free books.
