I think it is the Department of HomeDepotLand Security, or was it OfficeDepotLand Security.  I think DHS & DOS both monitor this thread to catch people like you.  Sounds like a trip to Guantanamo may be in your future.

Cool! My school doesn't like to pay for me to do research in Cuba.

I'm having mine (if I ever get that far) engraved on sterling silver and delivered by Owl.

But for those of you concerned about the staple issue - here's your resolution.

Ha! I love this thread, but just to be annoying, I'll note that the terms "parchment," and "vellum" are not used interchangably, and some of those are indeed "calfskin"--thanks to DNA and other modern tests.

Now, back to the conversation.  How about printout out the cv in binary code?

Silly.  We didn't use them interchangeably.  Read again.  Are you implying that I, a medievalist, don't know the difference?  Hmmph.  ;)

So should I use papyrus, parchment or calfskin?

I like vellum.  It has a nice feel to it, and it's sturdier than papyrus or parchment.

Vellum is calfskin, no?  Don't forget to highlight the important bits in red -- rubrics, people!  Make it clear you use rubrics!
