That I used to know about. Involved a transfer over Heathrow. Maybe that's changed with Aer Lingus? Cheapos don't go there from where I am at the moment.

Then again, I have access to Schipol that I didn't have before.

Good point. I can get to Belfast pretty easily but I'm in the UK.

As ExPat says, Ryanair flies to Dublin. And lots of folks fly to Amsterdam. (Or London, or maybe Edinburgh)

Unfortunately I cannot do anything in Feb. One Scotia parent is having a hand operation and will not be able to drive and other Scotia parent is unable to drive due to disability so I will be chauffering around the senior Scotias every weekend until normal driving service is resumed. Hopefully this will prevent my inheritance passing too quickly to me as result of one parent with cabin fever murdering other parent with cabin fever. I shall think of you as I grit my teeth and listen to someone in the back seat telling me to slow down......

How about Cork... ????

Lovely city, adored my visits there, but alas, the home of the ex that husband loathes.

Chances of me being allowed back into the house after a trip to Cork? Er, not good!

Hey... snow wasn't a requirement.

I figure that where we select needs to be exciting enough that we'd want to see the place. It's not just for a meet up...

Any place that we choose I'd bring my husband and we'd make a weekend of it. I assume that we'd plan the meet up for dinner and drinks.

I know snow isn't a requirement. And I do like the way you were thinking of it.

I do so want to go to Stockholm, but I was envisaging it in the summer, when the snow's melted and it's light until late.  :0)

I've always wanted to go to Stockholm in the winter. But I know my husband well enough to know that he'd refuse to go. I'm afraid that if we decide to go to Berlin he'd pout... but then he'd be ok because he'd walk around and enjoy the architecture.

I'm planning on leaving my wife at home.  Okay, partly that's because I don't think it would work to bring my kids, too.  But even so - she too would complain about the snow - so better than she stays in England where it will merely be raining.

Just a reminder to keep this meet-up in your consciousness.

I was reminded of that when my local airport announced last week that they will be adding Krakow to their list of cheapie flight destinations.

Though I'm for Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels or Stockholm.

Everyone will be wanting some warm weather then.
