How about all the folks working in the EU start to think about having a meet up in the new year!

Flights are generally really cheap in February... we can pick a place in or out of the UK.

Ski weekend anyone?  I don't ski though...

Any suggestions for cities?

Yes!  And skiing is perfect.  Though I would suppose Paris would be easier for most of us.

And I don't care that most of us are probably in the UK - I vote against London, it's boring, especially in the winter.

OMG. A Paris meeting. Well, we certainly can't outdo you on this side of the pond. Alors!

Paris! ARGH! I HATE Paris! the freaking city is always on strike... but if folks want Paris...

I suggest Salzburg! Or Prague... or Barcelona...

Barcelona in Feb would be warmer than the UK...

Salzburg would have snow....

Prague has that lovely Czech beer....

Barcelona
Prague
Amsterdam

Any takers?
Serious thumbs down to Paris - particularly with the strikes. And CDG!!

In the UK, I'd suggest Edinburgh though it would probably be farking freezing!

Who needs CDG?  I would have thought Gare du Nord would work just fine.

But okay, I can see I'm going to lose this one.  But if we end up in Dublin I know I'm going to end up rat-arsed...

Swindon?

Geneva is another possibility.

Grypt, I'll end up rat-arsed wherever we go. And some of us don't have access to Eurostar...

That rather depends on whether there are trains to anywhere other than St Pancras running from the damn place!

If we end up in Dublin, I rather suspect you will not be alone in that state ;-)

My only reservation about Dublin is that accommodation is horribly expensive if anybody wants to stay overnight.

I thought the whole idea of these fora is to remain anonymous.  Are you thinking masks?  Blindfolds?  Cool costumes...?

LOL... we could do an anonymous meet up... but the fact that we do it in another city can help hide our identity... I will introduce myself as expatinuk and this is Hubby Bubba...

If people want to get rat-arsed in Dublin, I propose staying over the night of Saturday Feb. 16th.

Note this is completely self-serving on my part as I have to go there anyway on the Sunday to sit on a funding panel at 8:30 Monday morning.

February in Dublin might not be too dear - I can check if folks are interested.

If anyone's up for a flash meeting, I'll be in Luxembourg on Tuesday, Brussels on Wednesday and Thursday, and in The Hague on Friday. Always staying there the night before and leaving that evening.

Just sayin'.
