I am curious too about this conference too. It seems a bit like the Oxford Roundtable which has been debunked by several post on here. Can anyone provide any information or feedback about it?

Two things that make me suspicious when looking at a conference:

1. The conference accepts papers from a very broad range of disciplines
2. The conference is unfailingly in a highly desirable destination.

This does not necessarily mean that every conference that meets these requirements is of questionable quality.  Not at all.  This just makes me suspicious enough to inquire further.

My goodness, that was an exceptionally good analysis of the forum.

I am especially suspicious about this conference, as it apparently took place 2 years ago.  I would suggest that forumites should not try to contribute papers to this particular conference unless they have perfected the Way-Back Machine.*

*In which case we ought to be talking about a completely different kind of conference.

Do you hail from Planet Hello Kitty?

It's like an action movie, but boring.

The first conference in the series was held in 2008 and there is another this year.  The deadline for abstracts was in October and the host is a consulting firm.  That's in the website information.  It doesn't look very promising to me.

On the other hand, who's paying?

Paris.........ahhhh!

And it costs a lot! That always sets off my alarm bells.

Or is this the fishy part?
