I was sorry to see Amy go this week. I thought she might actually make it further in the competition. And I think if Amy/ Jonathan had been given another neighborhood, they might have won. But I wasn't a fan of Jay/ Mila's day look either. I actually thought it was much worse than Amy's "bad retro look". But I did like Jay/ Mila's evening look. So I get why Amy was eliminated.

Maya is my new choice to win with Amy out. However Jonathan now has a special place in my heart because he was so broken up when Amy left and felt she sacrificed herself in the judging. I didn't dislike Amy's outfit but I think the judges were right that it did not reflect the neighborhood that was supposed to have inspired it. I think it would have made a nice bathing suit cover up, it was not New Yorkish in any way.

I haven't been to the Upper East Side in years (probably not since the '90s?). I was a bit confused about the Upper East Side fashion vibe? I know it's definitely very tony, upscale, highbrow, etc. So the judges were looking for something more Gossip Girl -esque?

The pushing of make-up in the show is getting annoying. So obviously just a form of promotion and it takes away time from seeing the real competition.

Agreed, NN, although I do like hearing about how the designers make their makeup choices. Too often it seems that the makeup folks make those decisions for the designers. Even two seasons ago, Christian Siriano was having opinions about makeup ("and lashes, for days..."); now, the designers just do what the stylists say.
Maya needs a win. I suspect she may be going home this week, though, unless she dazzles.

The product placements are so prolonged and repeated as to be hilarious. I guess they handle the necessity by going over the top?

I still miss it being on Bravo...
And, for the record, why did Heidi leave Bravo? I mean, it's the same freaking show, except not its owned by CBS, which, on the surface, seems to be the wrong network for a show like PR (older demographic, not exactly gay friendly, especially when compared to NBC, decidedly less hip).

I disagree, I think she is the sleeper who will be in the final three for sure. I predict Jay will be out next week, his outfit was hideous and I really didn't get why the judges liked Mila's for evening wear. The model had no shape at all. I could see why they didn't like Amy's shirt dress but it looked better than Jay's. People who have won one week, may be in the bottom group the next week. The judges either raved or strongly disliked their designs. Maya has been consistently in the middle, neither the top or the bottom but has come in second at least twice. I think her designs have staying power and are never over the top, unlike many others. But don't listen to me, my NCAA basketball picks were the pits.

This is why I worry for Maya. I started watching this show in season 2 because one of my friends from high school was a contestant. He never won a challenge but was always "safe," until one day he wasn't (for what I consider a manufactured reason). Maya needs to win a challenge.

I like Maya. But I'm worried for her as well. I think Mila will definitely make it to the finals. For some reason, I think Seth Aaron (or possibly Emilio) will probably make it as well.
And I'm also getting so annoyed with the product placements. I love Garnier's products. But last week's episode was basically a Garnier infomercial.

How is Mila still there? How? That teepee 70s caftan atrocity was so badly constructed that her model had to hobble down the runway. And yet...still there. Poor Anthony, I shall miss you. You made pretty clothes and were quite possibly the happiest and most positve person I have ever seen.

I really thought it would be Jonathan going home this week. I don't like Jonathan. He's pale and weepy. And with "pale" I'm referring to his palette, not his complexion. He doesn't know from pale, complexion-wise.
Mila's dress was appalling, and how she ended up getting a pass is completely beyond me. It should have been Jonathan and Mila in the bottom two, and if we're really going to judge on garments alone, Mila should have gone home. But we don't judge on garments alone, do we, Heidi? Hmmmmmm?
Anthony was my favorite from the get-go. I'm very sad to see him go.

I'm not even sure why Anthony was in the bottom two. Even so, Jonathan should have been sent home. And I definitely liked Anthony's dress better than Mila's. But based on the promos for next week, it looks like someone's leaving and one of the eliminated contestants will be coming back. So hopefully, Anthony will be the one who returns. He definitely made the show more fun to watch.

Interesting interpretation of the promos (and I hope you're right!). I was getting a very strong "someone's dead" vibe off of the promos.
