How many different member groups (new member, member, senior, etc.) are there and what distinguishes them? I presume it is the number of posts, but I could be wrong. If I am right, what are the numbers needed for "promotion"?

Hi Boethius,
You're right that the "titles" are solely a function of post count. I think it is as follows (please correct me if I'm wrong):
1-49 "new member" *
50-99 "junior member" **
100-249 "member" ***
250-999 "senior member" ****
1000+ "distinguished senior member" *****
People can also add text above and below their "titles" by editing their profiles.
