We just got an email here at Expensive Urban Private University in the Northeast from the Dean of Arts and Sciences telling us that she has now taken over the management of the Writing Program.  And, of course, there was a comma splice in the email.

A few years back:  New English department chair appointed.  Poor teacher; poor writer.  Virtually every missive contained grammatical error (s).  I finally brought to attention of Dean who'd made the appointment.  Missives contained fewer errors for awhile, until chair wrote my evaluation, which both slammed me and contained grammatical errors, both of which went up to the Dean.  Moron chair now Assoc. Dean, suppposedly temporary positions, but just another level of scut workers.  Missives from moron AD contain multiple grammatical errors.  At least moron is out of the classroom.
