It's end-of-semester time, so I let myself wear jeans and workboots to teach. I just wrapped up a night class, so I've got an old sweater, blue jeans, and my beat-up black Doc Martens on.

Olive green slacks and shirt with a silver owl pendant--I'm giving a final, and trying to offer my students some subtle encouragement.  Also an old magenta sweater my mother gave me.  She thinks it's my favorite color, which it is not, but because of her belief, I have numerous magenta items in my wardrobe.

Black pants, a red cowl neck sweater, and a jean jacket.  I'm glad it is still warm enough to not require wearing a winter coat on top of all of that.

I ended up with a lot of green garments (and other items) that way, geoteo!  Green was actually one of my mother's favorite colors, so she assumed it was mine, too.

Dark green jeans, green yellow and orange striped shirt with tank top underneath, brown boots, brown and cream jacket.

None of the things I am wearing are quite warm enough. It's very cold outside today.

My mother hates magenta; I would be glad for her to have it.  We are both redheads, but she staked a claim to blue, green, and purple before I was born, and has always told me that she knows I like the warm colors.

On a redhead, there is nothing warmer than green. I've yet to see magenta work that way on a redhead. Maybe you're the exception?

I think geoteo's point was that she doesn't like magenta.

I got that. I was actually pointing out that her mother--who's a redhead and should know better--wasn't making sense about "warmer" colors.

Black & ivory striped shirt, skinny black twill jeans, black ballet flats with little spikes all over the toe cap. I can kick butt both literally and metaphorically today. I also accidentally kicked my own foot. These shoes are dangerous!

They were a nordstrom rack find, out of character but somehow compelling: http://www.revolveclothing.com/DisplayProduct.jsp?code=SAME-WZ246

Second-favorite black dress (think a shorter Holly Golightly dress), black shrug, black wool tights, black flats (when I go outside, I'll change to black rainboots with red kisses on them)

Black pants and a red turtleneck made of thick but incredibly soft wool that I'd completely forgotten I even own.  It's really not cold enough for it, but I leave for Somewhere Warm soon, so today was my only real opportunity to wear it.  (It's pretty raw outside today.)

We are matched today, but reversed. I have on a black top and red skirt.
