Prytania, the Foracle

« on: October 07, 2007, 10:06:17 PM »

Question: The time at the bottom of the home page, is that Eastern time or is it the forumites' local time?

Thank you.

The time at the top is Eastern Standard Time.

Nothing else there...

I'm in Asia right now, and the time is EST.  My laptop is on CST and it's an hour later, and the time showing is 12 hours earlier than where I am.  (I'd out myself almost completely if I gave the location.)

There's a profile preference that determines what time is displayed. So I see my local time, rather than Eastern US time.

I've noticed this also, but like the idea of having a clock that works on a different time. Sort of feels as if I were in a news room.

And I have a number of relatives in that time zone. Keeps me from getting them out of bed with a phone call.

Ah, more spam. Very clever. But we are more clever than you.

It never hurts to have multiple reports. It's so satisfying to see those IP addresses get shut down.
