Dunno about a database, Merce, but a hell of a lot of the stuff over there ends up in either
The Guardian
or [urlhttp://www.thesjobs.co.uk/]THES[/url] -- the latter being how I once applied for jobs at HUJ and the Technion.

Get good advice from people who really know Israeli universities before taking a job there. I have heard many horror stories about dysfunctional institutional cultures, particularly the politicized nature of tenure decisions. And of course the funding situation makes American public universities look fabulously wealthy.

A friend of mine from Israel, with a BA from a prestigious Israeli (and expecting a PhD from an even more prestigious North American) university, was warned away from even trying to get a decent academic job in the humanities in Israel.
Hopefully this situation will change at some point, but currently the money just doesn't seem to be going into higher education (in the humanities).
