Larry,

I have been reluctant to hurl insults on these forums, but it is very hard to respond to you in another way. You are childish and dismissive. You are are narcissistic and have no room for another view of the world except the one you have created. I can only imagine that this has created a great number of personal tragedies for you.

So, Beacon. Do you ever contribute to anything outside the diversity forum? Presumably you occasionally have conversations apart from the evils of diversity. What field are you in? What do you do for fun? What music do you like? Tell us about Beacon, the man behind the moniker.

Thanks for asking Angel. I rarely post in other sections because of a lack of time - I find this one the most interesting so I spend my limited time here. I am in a psychology related field. I am currently working in government but keep ties to the academic community. For fun, I participate in a lot of sports activities, play cards (poker), spend time with my family, fish, hunt, and fiddle with computers. Probably my favorite band is Radiohead. I am a committed family man.

My personal life credo is that love conquers all. I believe that violence is antithetical to love and can not co-exist on a personal level. Love is about compassion, fairness, truth, patience, integrity, sacrifice, honor, courage, mindfulness, etc... I do recognize that there is evil in the world that can not be negotiated. These folks are know as sociopaths (approx. 4% of the pop.). We must be mindful that they exist and they have no access to morality or virtue. They, for the most part, can not be rehabilitated. Once more they are charming and manipulative. The difficulty for good people is to know who these sociopathic folks are and how to deal with them.

I have diversity training this week; can I bring this article?  Is it bad if I start laughing while I read it?

I know, I know, DDNTT.  Sorry.

Larry, thumbs up.

All kidding aside, this theory, which includes an argument that group therapy after emancipation would have averted PTSS, was originally posited at the Oxford Roundtable.

Really.
