"A hardened English teacher"--Disgruntled Student

« Reply #30 on: April 12, 2011, 09:02:18 PM »

Hi, folks--thanks for the support!  I try very hard not to let the discussions with my students get personal, but to Dr Evil, it was really hard not to react to this guy.  I was hoping I didn't come across as Prof Rebelgirl, Tenured B!tch.  That just never helps. . . . and I thought after that maybe I'd been too snarky when I said:

Not reading directions and skipping review sessions don't constitute special circumstances.

Sounds like syllabus language to me!

Good work, RebelGirl.

I *wish* I could put that in a syllabus!  :)

Antiphon:  thanks for the link!  Someday I should write an ode to BS Ballplayer, as his bs was indeed even more epic than his fail!

Soldier on, y'all. . . .

I blame all of our problems on that frikkin' Timmy. Lassie should have left his lazy @$$ in the well.
