Okay, so if you live in a dry town which has no liquor store, what do you do then?

Make friends with out-of-area people who will ship you the good stuff via UPS?

Yeah, but do we lose our designation as a town?

Insurance will pay for the damage to my car, which I ranted about in venting thread.

Today I had a wonderful Middle-Eastern meal with my old chair and a visiting doctoral student.

I have an interview on Monday.

A friend who had surgery a week ago is doing good.

My mother's rash is finally almost gone after months of aggravation including a misdiagnosis.

My neice and nephews are making Sunday dinner for my parents.

The squirrels have not knocked on my window in months.

As of yesterday, I'm the proud adoptive parent owner of a beautiful grapefruit tree (with one grapefruit). Tomorrow, I will plant it.

The tree or the grapefruit?

The tree, silly JP. Tomorrow, I will transplant the tree.

Then I will obsess over its one grapefruit for months.

Sometimes I get frustrated at all the bickering that goes on around here, BUT:

It's neat how supportive the forumites can be of one another. I see real caring and encouragement, especially in the LHC thread, and recently in this thread's counterpart.

Yay, people.

That's awesome Case, and thanks for finding this thread. I was going to look for it anyway because today, for the first time since 1993, the Philadelphia Phillies will be playing post-season baseball.

Go Phillies!!!!!

I slept last night! The WHOLE night! I guess that's the upside to two nights of staying up way too late grading and freaking out about my life being SO HARD. Now all the grading is done, too! I won't have any more until Friday and that's only ONE class. I'll get it done before I even go home.

I slept! I feel like a million bucks. Oh, and students are giving presentations today in three of my classes, so I get to just SIT THERE and look like I'm taking notes when, really, I'm doing my grocery list.

WHEEEEEE!!!!!

Maybe I won't even puke today. Wow. Just wow.

Yea team!

I couldn't remember the name of this thread and hunted and hunted and didn't find it.... but I asked for help on the PA thread in finding the "anti-venting" thread, and someone there remembered it had "inhaling" in its name... else, I would never have found it again!

The Batmobile (or a reasonable facsimile) drove behind me today. Had the open cab with the bubble windows and everything--black with orange wide pin stripping outlining all the edges.
