Just went to get the suit taken in to wear to the next interview. Wife commented favorably on the ten pounds gone since it was purchased. Seamstress (what do you call them these days?) says, "it'll look even better if you lose another ten." Golly.

So encouraging. How did you keep from slapping her?
She reminded me of my grandmother, so it was actually kinda funny.

It's gratifying to feel the snug size 10's I bought before Thanksgiving are now just right.

I'm also starting to realize that maintenance will be hard just because it's exciting to lose weight and see/anticipate change.  Even when I was maintaining a very reasonable weight over the holidays (and should've been proud of myself), merely maintaining felt very...meh.  And feeling "meh" about a nice steady, reasonable weight made pitching all the hard work to eat multiple serving of delicious stuff all the more tempting.

Anyone here in the maintenance stage?

I am in a similar phase right now, and I just keep trying to remind myself that I don't want to return to my previous shape.  It was hard work getting here! I think that looking at older pictures helps for motivation.  The temptation is strong, though!

Sorta.  Yeah, I'd like to lose that last 20 or 25 pounds, but the immediate goal, always, is to stay where I am and not gain back the 30 I've already lost.

To my surprise, living in Somewhere Warm helps.  I just don't seem to eat as much here, for some reason.  And I'm too busy to drink.  ;-)

Finally back on the wagon, eating properly and exercising ... -5 lbs in 2 weeks (was getting pretty high).

Like kiana, I am back on the wagon (specifically, the Weight Watchers wagon) and have lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks. I have had eating "issues" in the past, so I have to be very careful to not become consumed in, and obsessed with, the number on the scale. It seems so weird to me to be proud of losing 5 pounds in 2 weeks, when I used to be upset if I lost any less than 1 lb a day, but I really am proud of my slow and steady progress.

After spending the last few months investigating weight loss surgery, I am back on the weight loss bandwagon one last time on my own. I was motivated when I got on the scale late last week and discovered that I had lost a few pounds without trying. I'm calling this my Fresh Start. If I'm not successful, I'll make a final decision in favor of the surgery.

I am doing something similar to Jenny Craig or NutriSystem, but I'm buying my own frozen Lean Cuisines and Smart Ones meals. I add a salad or veggie to each meal and snack on fruit. I have an occasional Smart Ones ecliar for a treat. Two or three days a week, I will cook my own, non-frozen dinner at home when I feel like it.

I have been modifying my food choices and lowering my consumption of junk food and alcohol.  I also picked up Zumba dance for the Wii and I'm no longer bored with exercising.  I'm even getting up early to exercise before  work which is huge for me since I am not a morning person.  So far I have lost 4 pounds.
