There you go, being arrogant again. I did read that other thread. Every single painful word. Watch out, you'll be accused of stalking her. Infopri: What are you talking about? The above quote was to Eyetoeye concerning me, and yes, he was stalking me, but I nipped that in the bud very quickly.

I've just finished reading the 17 pages of posts on this thread, and I have two favours to ask forumites.
First, if you're going to start such a long and convoluted thread as this, which sucks readers in and won't let them go till its over, thereby wasting huge amounts of time either: keep in mind those of us on the other side of the world and not start them on Friday afternoons, as this wastes my Monday morning OR, if you must keep them to your Friday afternoons, PM me or post a brief synopsis of the thread which enables me to skip through.
Second, explain what Roombas and Scoobas are, and how Flowbees fit in. Yes, I could Google them, but having wasted hours on this thread already, I'm hoping to shortcut the process.l
Thanks guys!
Little disc-shaped robots that mop (Scooba) or vacuum (Roomba) floors. They have sensors that tell them where they've cleaned so they are able to perfectly vacumm ormop a room. The Scooba works in such a way that no used, dirty water ever touches the floor--no moving the dirt around.

Flowbee: an attachment to a vacuum cleaner that allows you to cut hair and clean it up at the same time. Apparently, there's also a similar device called a RoboCut.
I haven't enjoyed a thread this much since the one about the job candidate whose hotness induced self-touching.

I wonder if they're available over here.... And I've enjoyed the thread too, in a kind of Jerry Springer crossed with David Attenburgh/ BBC documentary kind of way. I've spent equal time cringeing and learning.

Oh my god! I go away for a weekend of fresh air, mountains and sunshine and starlight and big happy dogs running amok and come back and find this thread is still going!
So, in all seriuosness now, no irony, sarcasm, sardonic tones, nothing, just straight up serious question - does a roomba work on a wood floor or would it damage it?

My wood-floored having, Roomba-owning friends have no complaints. It seems to work fine on them.

That's maybe fine for your friends but I believe the question was about the floors.

What are you talking about? The above quote was to Eyetoeye concerning me, and yes, he was stalking me, but I nipped that in the bud very quickly. I'm not infopri, but I was remarking that i2i was accusing some of us (me, VP) of stalking her[1], and I was pointing out that if infopri admitted to reading her on more than one thread she might be so accused as well. - DvF [1] i2i has pretty much confirmed that she is a she.

Thanks for answering, DvF. That was how I interpreted the stalking post. Pry, sorry for any confusion.
