I can tread water for about 5 minutes.

Can also swallow some pills without water.

Last week, I pulled a small splinter out of my hand with my teeth. No, wait... it was my nails. Pulled it out with my nails. Yes, that's right.

Can survive splinters with crying.

Can hold my breath for about 35 seconds.

I heard about one guy who shot himself in the leg to avoid fighting in the Iraq war.

Apparently, then he shot himself in the foot.

My sister said I'm the toughest person she nows.

Just because I survived GD's health problems and brain surgery, a miscarriage, and graduate school.

Like I had a choice? Running away just wasn't an option.

Funny, my sister says the same thing about me for unavoidable tragedies as well. I do have to admit, I am remarkably sane (as far as I know) considering some of the things I've experienced. I imagine the same is for you, so I'll give you credit if you won't.

Thanks. It just seems hard to see myself as strong when I just did what I had to do. I just dealt with it.

The day before my sister's wedding I took ALL of the grandmothers out for lunch. I survived, and amazingly so did they.
