It must be Margaret Thatcher ascending into heaven.

Nor here. It did appear briefly but now we are back to strong winds and lots and lots of wet stuff (which was not mentioned on the forecast - today was supposed to be dry before normal service is resumed tomorrow).

Ah. And I thought it was all GW's fault.

It must be Margaret Thatcher ascending into heaven.

Isn't she destined to go to the other place?

expatinuk is right! We live in the same city and I see it as well. It must be a UFO. I have never seen it before. When it appeared there was general commotion in the building and most people left at 5! They have all gone home and now try to scare the invaders away by burning meat on charcoal. The yellow thing doesn't like that.

It hovered over here all day yesterday but clearly has moved on. I wonder if there were any interesting abductions....

The aliens managed to visit for a little while this morning. But we were successful in launching the forcefield that now covers the countryside. I can see a slight break in the coverage on the horizon, but the black forces are rolling in to reinforce our forcefield!

Whatever you do, don't stare at them too hard, or they will steal your eyeballs.

Those who live in areas where such UFO visits are rare are often unacquainted with the zeal with which the aliens will protect their privacy by such means.

They will also sear your skin if you lurk in their vicinity too long. - DvF

Our forcefield is thick... no need to worry about skin searing any time soon!

You can't be too careful.  I live in a part of the US deep south that is overrun by UFOs, but my worst punishment by the shy aliens in recent years was on a spring day in Edinburgh when there were no UFOs in sight.  Made me complacent: I couldn't see them, but they could see me, all right. - DvF

Can't have the yellow UFO there when the British Open (oops, the Open Championship) is on. That would mean Tiger is a shoe-in. Let's hope the UFO stays away and everyone lands in the rough and plus 6 wins again! Make those millionaires work for their money!

I'm a bit confused. The forcefield seems to emit some type of particles that fall nearly vertically - perhaps for cooling?

But where are these coming from when the UFO is overhead and the forcefield is only visible in the far distance?
