Definitely Jamie Lee Curtis when she was a bit younger. Ditto Sigourney Weaver.
Susannah Harker (not that anybody outside the UK will get that one ;-)

Ina is smug.
But her shiny, swingy bob, smoky voice, plump figure, and recipe for crab cakes (best I've had) are just divine.

I've pondered Ina's grating quality and have decided she is just sort of serene and unflappble and Zen-like, which sometimes pisses off tightly-wound people like me. According to wikipedia, she earned money for her store by flipping houses; I figure she's no snob.

i have to say, reading this thread really cheered me up. most of the women on the lists thus far are in their 30s or 40s. I am in my early 30s -- yes, still young, i know -- but have been really down in the dumps about it. probably because i am obsessed with pop and celebrity culture where all the women are in their 20s. anyway, women with whom I wouldn't mind switching bodies: Milla Jovovich, Rachel Weisz, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba, Charlize Theron

I can't imagine having any (sustained) interest in a woman who is less than 30.
Quick sweaty sex? Maybe. Once or twice.
Sustained interest? Nah.
Women in their 30s are simply more interesting.

You've got that right! (Quothes Trixie, a woman about to turn 34 and still prety rockin', if she does say so herself).

Agreed. Paul Theroux has a line in one of his books about young women being pretty in only a nominal way as they haven't yet had time to form the character to be really sexy. For years I thought it was just me and him that thought that way, but apparently there are a lot of us.

It's so true. What would you talk with the young ones about?

I would also say my wife, but most of us are going for famous people, so I'll say Claire Danes. She would not win any beauty contests, but there is just something about her.

I've seen a couple of these, but I can live without it. Glad it made you feel better. Being more mature, grown up, knowing who you are, all adds to the package.

You know, I believe it and everything, but I have looked at the Man of Your Dreams list, and the (well, mostly) women are much more unabashed at lusting after (other) men. Not that I mind; I'm just saying. And you could discuss that.

Now we're getting somewhere. To The Ladies McDowell and Daines, I would add: Jane Seymour (haven't seen any recent pictures of her, but she was still smokin' in the year 2000) Emma Thompson
