Do you want a career in science? Sure, you do!

Well, people who are meeting?  What do you want?

I'm ok with chains, but that's because we all know I'm not really eating anyway.

I'm not a huge fan of food, so the quality of the cuisine doesn't matter to me either.

I'll defer to the group, and if the group doesn't have an opinion, I'll suggest Bertucci's, since I know how to get there already. But if the group does want to try Legal Sea Foods (which as CKM points out is also something of a chain, although a local one) or one of Spork's recommendations, I'm game. I know all about Google Maps.

Nice walking around near Bertucci's before or after-and safe area for those not familiar with the city.

Well, I see you are listed as being in the Midwest.  Someone was organizing a Chicago get-together for soon.  Maybe that's something you could attend.

As someone at an R1, I bet you are near enough a big city that you could organize a meet-up.  Just post the city and a target date and, in my experience, people will come.

Back on topic:

I am making an executive decision.

Where: Bertucci's
When: 5:30 pm on 28 February
Who: anyone who wants to come; currently, I see me, Zharkov, Betty_P, Oldfullprof, and one anonymous person via PM.  Spork and Collegekidsmom, are you in or are you just helping as knowledgeable Boston folks?

Unfortunately, I live nowhere near Boston. I was there last weekend, and my entire large extended family lives in the area. So, sadly I juts throw out suggestions from afar.

Oh, that's sad.  I was hoping to meet you.

I used to live in Boston. I visit on occasion and check out local restaurants as much as possible, but am not there now.

Aw, have fun, y'all!  And polly, don't let OFP pinch your ass when you're not looking.  He might.

It's OFP; he might pinch it while I am looking.

I am sad about not getting to see Spork, though.

I'm actually pretty gentle even if I have a nasty mouth.
