From another thread:

According to the counter at the bottom of the main forums page, we've been at 8,894 members for some time. But the latest user to register has a user number of 9,152.
So - what shall we do for user #10,000? Surely something special is in order. A CHE shopping spree? A special thread with our collected advice?

What if it's like Y2k? Maybe the world will end. Better stockpile all that job search advice, in case it is hard to find after the apocalypse.

Sometimes I wish that would happen to the fora. Which circle of Hell is this, anyway?

I thought this was going to be a virtual race ... we'd all run a 10k on a certain day and post times, share stories. Or that we'd have a meet up and run a 10k together. :-)
