Greetings. I'm trying to meet other educators/scholars from my discipline to know (as can be done here) and learn from. So, who are you people (aliaises)?

Are the rest of us not good enough or something?

You're great. You're just fine the way you are. Don't change for anybody. Especially me.

I just have some specific questions for a specific culture however no more less or greater than yours. :)

I am trying to publish some articles and get tenure. I am also trying to raise children that will not kick seats on airplanes or plagiarize in anthroid's department.

Since I don't know your field, I can't say whether or not we are in the same discipline.

*!* is contagious, but appropriate hu use can protect you (see http://www.hupronoun.org/).
My God.  Take your pom poms elsewhere unless you have something substantive to say.

Why not just post the questions here?  Maybe some of us in other disciplines will learn something.

I may or may not be in a close field.

You need to be more specific, cupcake.

I am most certainly involved with child and youth and family services. Can't have a batcave without some bats in it!

I'm not raising little larks any more--or bats---but I study children and youth professionally.  I'm in your field.  I'm trying to talk about it mostly in generalities, so I don't say too much that I identify myself when I go to interviews.  I've said probably too much in other posts.

Okay. Thanks for posting. I'll wait a bit and see if there are more than 2 of us here!

Perhaps you came on a bit strong, 72, with that long personal post that was deleted but perhaps not quickly enough.

Just a thought.

While some of us frequent fliers read these fora almost every day, many others read them once or twice a week.  Give it a week or so.

If I get testy, I'll have a reason for it other than to stir someone up you troll. Go back back to your cave/under the bridge. You kill my buzz to be in this profession if you act like that.
