So much for Wikipedia not being credible. It seems that it's the highest authority. I stand corrected.
So does the site, for that matter:
"Hu - Proposed by activist feminist academics as a gender neutral pronoun. The plural of hu is hus."
I guess this is what happens when we're not teaching or grading...

And this is not a snark. I didn't take it as a snark, I assumed it was intended to be a joke. Fighting for gender equality is a joke to you. What did I say to suggest that? When did the discussion become about gender equality or inequality? We've mostly been talking about making up a word and pretending that it is English. Anyway, you said "When men talk about mankind, they are only talking about themselves." This statement is either a joke or it is simply ridiculous. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was a joke. I guess you are saying that benefit was undeserved? You really are being ridiculous? Well, OK then. |

How on earth does using "hu" promote gender equality? That is just silly. In fact it is exactly the kind of academic left silliness that discredits our causes among sensible people. Fighting the hu promotes gender equality. Up with women, down with the hu!
