Prytania, the Foracle

Could you take a picture of your setup for us and post it on www.imageshack.us?  I'm curious to see what the desk of the great day-trader Prytania looks like!  I imagine coffee cups and paper everywhere.

I'll have to find the digital camera. I actually use a table and not a desk--2 LCDs on it, keyboard, a lamp, a phone, a cable box. The processor is under the table. I try to keep the area as clutter free as possible--2 pieces of paper--one for trading plans du jour and one for notes I take during the day.

I will probably upgrade my PC next year at which point I really will get a third screen on a PC that has that capabilities to have 5.

Oh, so *that's* how you do it.  I was wondering how you could day trade and make split second decisions while flipping from window to window.

One screen has my stock charts/order matrix/balances & P/L and one screen has the CHE on one tab and Yahoo Finance (RIMM board) on the other. Sometimes I have to use this screen to check the indices though--I really want another screen. Also I have a very high-powered PC.

Have you ever accidentally bought shares in a company called zharkov or oldassocprof because you were trying to reply to a CHE post?

No, but there is a stock with CHE as its symbol--Chemed Corporation. It owns VITAS healthcare and Roto Rooter. Trading today at 48.31.

Wait, the same company owns healtcare and Roto Rooter?  Hee hee.  That just struck me as funny.
But par for the course, I suppose, given how conglomerates work...

Well, they're discrete subsidiaries, but it is pretty funny.

Wait, OP never defined "big".

I'm pretty sure Pry isn't as "big" as, say, John Proctor, whom I picture as having Paul Bunyon-esque proportions, or Prince Copperlocks, whom I'm sure is also tall and strapping.

The Forcale IS however, the primary resident of #1 Posty Posty Lane.

Illuminata, quite small but very posty.

I'm just short of 6' tall and weigh about 190 lbs.

As to whether any of my proportions are "Bunyon-esque" I demur to say and leave to the assessment of others.

In my world, that qualifies as Bunyon-esque. ; )

I just noticed that Case Insensitive is posting 17.512 times per day (by the CHE's calculation).  Mine is under 5 per day.

Does anyone post more often than CI?

yours eternally,
Juris

So where does one find this information?  I thought I was quite quickly becoming addicting, but I don't count.  If they're counting for me, I might be curious to know this information.

I went on a blind date with a guy who said he was just under 6' tall. He ended up being shorter than I am (5'8"-5'9"). Turns out that "just under" means different things to different people.
