Moving Companies: US to Canada

I am looking for advice on moving from U.S. (California) to Canada. Anyone have advice on a good international moving company? Ideally, I would like to do a pack-it-yourself-container, but am not sure if there is anything available cross border. Any experiences to share?

When I moved from the US to Canada, I did the one-way U-Haul thing rather than have someone move for me. If you have enough help when you get across the border, it might be a cheaper way to go, even with towing a vehicle. I think I saved about $1000 doing it that way, but that was about 10 years ago.
Just in case you're not aware, for when you go through Customs you need to put together an itemized list of everything you're bringing, including the approximate values of each thing on the list (think yard sale value, not retail-new value). If you organize it by box, it becomes a great unpacking aid. :)

Last time I checked, Canada was a big country--bigger in fact, than the US.
It depends on where you are moving to from California.

I used one of the moving companies - I think it was United (if you are moving for a job, see if they will pay your expenses!). The only annoying thing, which you would avoid if you did the U-Haul route, was that they could only give a window (of several days) of when they might arrive, so I had to wait around without my stuff!
