Job seekers in the sciences or social sciences may be asked to submit a statement of research interests. It's typically a one- to two-page statement detailing your recent scholarly accomplishments, their relevance to your discipline, and your plans for future research. Be sure to explain how your research will contribute to the department to which you're applying and mention any potential collaborators and sources of funding for future research.
