Does anyone have any inside or second-hand knowledge to share on the University of Tampa?  What is the student body like?  Teaching load?  Research funding?  Tenure expectations?  Cost of living?  Anything else you can think of.

Thank you!

Has anyone heard about the state of their job search for history (asian/world I think)?  It's not on the wiki.

I cannot give you 1st hand info on the college itself other than the campus is downtown but appears to be nice.

Florida is a somewhat expensive place to live...especially Southwest Florida.  On the positive side, the real estate market is going through a lull right now so you probably could get a reasonable house. It depends upon what you consider reasonable though.  You would need to spend about 300,000 dollars for a nice house in a nice area. There are a lot of things to do in the Tampa area.
