Does anyone know where to find the salary scales of professors in at German Universities? Is there a national scale, or are there differences between universities.

What would someone at the associate prof level get? and a junior professor?

The academics.de site has three articles, which should answer your query.  You need to sign up first to access the articles:

http://www.academics.de/portal/action/account/create

Once you can access the site, click on “Wer verdient was” under “Karriere und Berufung.”  The academics.de site should also prove a valuable source of information for you, if you are planning to work in Germany.
