I may be the only one at home tonight, but I don't care.

I am stuck at home too, having entirely lost my voice - my sign language is limited and unlikely to make me any friends. Unfortunately the house is a tip. I haven't even done the washing up. I will return to this forum tomorrow for inspiration.

Fait au complets: Kitchen is entirely clean, 1 bathroom is entirely clean (the other is my son's problem), Christmas stuff is gone, and one bag from the trip is unpacked.

I think I need to tackle my own room next and unpack the other bag, but can I eat dinner first? I'm really hungry, and I have a chicken caserole.

Go for it.  Have dinner and a glass of wine too.

So I ate, and now I'm feeling a little stalled out, and many forumites seemed to have disappeared to celebrate New Year's Eve. I may be on my own tonight.

My room is next. I will unpack the other bag, and then put my files, which are still in crates from the move, into the file cabinet. I can't think past that.

Oh, it's medication time. Maybe that's why.

You're not on your own tonight.  And I do housework.

I should be acquiring two cats soon from my ex-wife, and when that happens, the clean house will be a thing of the past.

Does Shakira now have brown hair?  I'm semi paying attention to the Latin Grammies, and some woman who sang a song that sounds like a Shakira song, and who shakes her booty like Shakira, won one of the awards.

Gee, I don't know. The last time I saw her, she didn't, but changing hair colors is so much fun. Does she look better with brown or blond?

Okay. On topic--I unpacked the suitcase.

Ricky Martin is still gay.

J Lo and Marc Anthony are looking good.  I hope they're happy.

I continue to post despite the lack of responses this evening. I'm not going as fast now but am managing to get things done. The files are now out of the crates and into the file cabinets. Now what? So much to choose from. I guess next I'll pick up all the clothes and shoes and anything on the floor.

A shout out to notaprof who got me started with cleaning the sink!

Hey, I like Ricky Martin. I especially like the CD he put out when he made his comeback--it was all in Spanish and mostly love songs. Suave romantica. Also, he's done a lot to stop child slavery throughout the world, AND he's a little stock market maven.

I'm not convinced by J Lo and Marc Antony. To me that marriage was all about "Stick to your own kind."
But, who knows? Maybe it's working for them.

Okay, clothes, shoes, floor...

Clothes and shoes put away, hung, or in the laundry hamper. I can't take the laundry downstairs though because my son is down there with his girlfriend, and I have no interest in knowing what's going on there. Anyway, girlfriend's 18--so whatever they're up to--I'm not going to jail. Well, there's a TV--I'm sure they are watching Dick Clark's rockin' New Year or whatever.

Now I could vacuum, change the sheets, or clean the surfaces of bureau, vanity, table--which includes organizing the things on top of the surface, OR I could go through some random papers that seem to be here and there...okay, anything but paper!

I'll change the sheets.

That was a simultaneous post with Spork, so I didn't know he was going to stick around, but where is he now?

The sheets are changed. I went through a few papers, then put the rest away for another day.

Now it's a choice between vacuuming and surfaces...as I continue to fade...
