wanna - you are wonderful! Chocolate cake.....

The interesting times continue. I am, though, beginning to hope that the crisis generation rate may be declining and the crisis solution rate may be increasing. I am mildly reassured to be told that this year has been exceptionally problematic - but only mildly given that there are major changes ahead that will come into effect next September.

Tomorrow I have to be at an exam board to ensure it is quorate, and then I get to spend some time thinking about research (while squeezing in a phone call to someone who can solve a teaching problem and ensuring that I get my teaching times for next week finalized).

For the record, OM#9 presentation is ready to go and OM#10 is about 80% ready to go.
Time for the reception.

I like knowing what I'm doing in class1 the night before.  I should do it more often. (I think I get complacent.)

Um, headache is almost gone. Hopefully one last round on Sudafed PE or something will help.

I think that if some women have a biological clock, I might have a....dog ownership clock? I would like this dog, please. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/pawprintpost/post/2009/10/success-at-last-the-puppy-rolleth-over/1 Or this one.  http://www.dailypuppy.com/puppies/archie-the-cocker-spaniel_2009-09-29#pics

Oh, and David Letterman, I love you. Please don't have done anything to make me think less of you.

Meds have been taken. Time to get ready for bed.

Good night!

Come on, Verby!  You can do it!  Put a little power to it!

Concert was fabulous!  I did doze off briefly several times, but not on account of the concert being dull, just on account of it being dark and warm and cozy with nice music and serious sleep deprivation.  I broke down and not only bought the CD for $6 more than it would have cost on Amazon (though I suspect some of the money goes to the non-profit venue and/or the musicians, which is good), but also got it autographed by the three performers.

Cousins I was going to meet tomorrow wrote to cancel due to rescheduled doctor's appt., so hopefully I'll get a chance to meet them some other time I'm in town.

Today:
- wake up at 8AM
- check tire pressure to see if it held overnight (valve is missing cap; it's possible we lost air that way)
- if pressure is low, call car place
- and if they can work quickly, take car to tire place
(N/A)
- water plants
- put dirty dishes into dishwasher and run it (drained standing water, good enough for now)
- pack suitcase for Thurs.-Sat.
- take out trash
- remove bottles of tea and oil from trunk (good enough)
- pack suitcase, laundry into car
- drive to campus at 10AM
- class at 10:30AM
- reception for award at noon
- send e-mails

- drive 150 miles
- eat dinner w/MIL
- concert at 8PM!

- do several loads of laundry (2 in progress, ~4? to go, tomorrow)
- sleep by 1AM (ish)
